We understand the importance of an effective start to a child’s education. We offer a fun, stimulating and caring environment allowing the children space to grow independently and develop the confidence needed to take on new challenges.

We recognise that each child is uniquely talented and our goal is to encourage them to achieve their full potential across a wide range of activities. We aim to foster a love of learning within a broad and balanced curriculum adopting a modern and innovative approach, igniting an enthusiasm for learning that will stay with each child for life.

In Reception, our dedicated teachers encourage and promote ‘active’ learning throughout all the areas of the Foundation Stage Curriculum, celebrating each child’s achievements and preparing them for a smooth and happy transition into Key Stage 1.

The Early Learning goals set out what most children are expected to achieve by the end of the Foundation Stage. They are organised as seven areas of learning:

Physical Education consists of two hours per week curriculum time covering gymnastics, swimming and multi sports. Children in the Foundation Stage also enjoy one lesson of Music, PSHCE and Spanish per week. Physical Education, Music, PSHCE and Spanish are taught by specialist teachers.
