Celebrating achievements in Music

Last year saw the musical life of the school grow, with more children exploring their talents across a range of instruments.

In the Summer Term, we had a our first cohort of children sitting their Violin ABRSM Music Practical exams at Grade 1, as well as children sitting Grade 2 Piano.

Piano and Violin exams consist of three pieces, chosen by the candidate. Total marks in all individual practical exams are 150. 100 marks are required to achieve a Pass, 120 marks to pass with Merit and 130 marks to pass with Distinction.

The children performed extremely well, achieving either Merit or Distinction and have set the bar somewhat high!
