Creating Stories in Lockdown

Year 3 have been amazing at adapting to learning remotely and a few tools have really enabled us to achieve the level of learning that we would have in the classroom. Using film as inspiration, we wrote a shared story using Google classroom, Google docs and book creator. 

A collaborative Google doc meant that I could give instant, live feedback to each child, just like I might do during a lesson and typing enabled the editing process to be really effective. Year 3 developed skills of being a collaborator, author, editor and illustrator resulting in a brilliantly published book that we are extremely proud of! Take a peek inside...
