In P.E. the children have been continuing to focus on their Summer Term sport, which is athletics. The children have been further developing their knowledge and skills in athletics by working on their running technique and learning all about the different field events, such as discus and long jump.
The Upper School children recently had a fantastic day competing against children from Weston Green School in an athletics competition. The children showed outstanding support for one another during the well organised event. They competed in a variety of different field and track events and showed great determination and positivity throughout the entire competition. Well done to the children who were involved in each stage of the competition.
After half term, the children will continue to practise all the skills they have learnt so far in athletics, in preparation for Wandsworth Prep's annual Sports Day. The children are already excited to compete and show off their flourishing athletics skills.
A special mention to the three Sports Leaders who have volunteered to help and support the P.E. department and to further develop their leadership skills. The P.E. staff look forward to working with you next half term and will make sure to keep you updated about their leadership progress!
