Explorers Showcase

To Explore or not to Explore - that is the question! Years 4,5 and 6 have been debating this all term with their study of different explorers through our world history. Our virtual showcase was a summing up of their educational journey. First parents entered our main virtual performance space and joined Shackleton and his men on their expedition to the Antarctic. Parents were invited to breakout rooms to meet small groups of children and learn from their interactive videos about explorers through time. After some debate in small groups on whether Exploration had been a positive influence on our world and society, we returned to our main performance virtual space for 'The Great Debate'. Parents and children fought over the motion with the children just pipping the parents at the post that Exploration was indeed, positive for humanity and our world. Covid may have stopped parents coming into the building but it didn't stop us from sharing virtually in an exciting and interactive way. Congratulations to parents and children for their participation!
