On the 4th and 5th of October, we held our annual 'Poetry Café' to celebrate 'National Poetry Day'.
This year, the theme was 'Change' and in the weeks leading up to the Poetry Café, children throughout the school read and shared poems around the theme of change. During English lessons, each child discussed what change meant to them as well as how we see change around us.
This year, the children wrote about change across a broad spectrum, with ideas ranging from starting school, moving country and seasonal change, to changes in our emotions and human rights.
We are delighted with the amount of effort and quality of writing that the children produced this year. Thank you to all the parents for your support in coming to the Poetry Café and making it, yet again, such a magical event that gives our children a voice.
We hope you enjoyed listening to the children's poems!
