We are excited to roll out our impressive plans for the development of the Expressive Arts and Design programme at Wandsworth Prep. Following two exciting educational visits to the Tate Modern and Dulwich Picture Gallery last term, this term our Reception class have been thrilled to discover that they are able to make use of our beautiful art studio, with its abundance of natural light, to take part in Specialist Art lessons with our newest addition to the Wandsworth Prep teaching team, Miss Emma. Miss Emma joins us as a fully qualified teacher, with a Masters in European Fine Art and a wealth of experience teaching pupils of this age, to lead pupils in an hour long timetabled Art lesson each week. As part of her role at Wandsworth Prep, Miss Emma will be developing the Art curriculum across the school and engaging pupils in the foundation art skills necessary to progress to the next level in their artistic ability. We look forward to watching the walls in our school change shape and emerge into a gallery from which the artwork of our children can be proudly displayed for pupils.
