This week during Athletics, the children have been finalising their running groups for Sports Day. The children have been practising for their 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m running events. In the lead up to Sports Day, each child has practised their chosen two running events alongside several field events. We hope that you enjoyed Sports Day today; the sun was shining and there were a lot of happy children ready to show off what they have been practising in their Athletics' sessions. Well done to all the children for all their efforts at this year's Sports Day and their continued enthusiasm!
The children have also had a wonderful week of Cricket and took full advantage of the sunshine! In Middle and Upper School, the children have been practising playing competitive matches as well as further developing essential skills. The children showed a fantastic understanding of what is required when batting, bowling and fielding. They all worked together as a team using their communication and collaboration skills.
Since the last newsletter, our Sports Leaders have delivered their first lesson to children in Year 1 and Year 2. The Sports Leaders did fantastically well to show their leadership skills and we look forward to them developing these further before the end of term.
