Fraser Speirs Presents 1:1 Learning Workshop to Parents

Wandsworth Prep hosted an information evening at the school on Wednesday 13 November, when Fraser Speirs, an Apple Distinguished Educator, delivered a presentation to parents on the benefits of a 1:1 deployment of iPads and how this technology can impact on teaching and child development. Headteacher, Melissa McBride commented: “All the children have really enjoyed their first taste of using the iPads as a complimentary way of learning. In an age where, statistically, there are three computing devices for every person, we feel that using iPads to enhance traditional teaching methods helps our children achieve more than they did in the past and is essential in preparing our pupils for life in the 21st century. We are very much looking forward to launching our full 1:1 ipad deployment in January and to working with Fraser further." A video of Fraser's presentation will soon be available to view in the secure parent portal. A letter will be sent home next week outlining the school's next steps in our iPad 1:1 deployment project.
