This term we launched gardening as a new extra-curricular club offering led by well known local florist, Jane Cullen. Each week Jane works with the children in our gardening club to teach them how to develop their own green thumbs whilst they work to look after our own Forest School garden.
The children have been working on creating their own gardening journals where they write down and draw pictures of some of the plants and seeds they have been discovering. This week the children worked with Miss Jane to plant White Geraniums and Purple Curly Whirlies, and were very excited when the rest of the classmates noticed how beautiful our gardens were looking the next day.
We can’t wait to see what other beautiful plants and flowers the Gardening club develop in our gardens.
