Year One’s Lockdown Writing

The children in Year One have been working on writing their ideas in full sentences as well as working to use adjectives to add more detail and description to our writing. We used our experiences of being in lockdown to inspire our writing.

We wrote about what we could see as we look out of our window. We worked to label photos and use adjectives. As a writing challenge, we had to write our ideas into sentences to activate the senses in our descriptions.

We used our thoughts and feelings when we wrote about what we liked/didn't like about lockdown. What do you like about lockdown? What do you look forward to when lockdown finally comes to an end?
