Inspiring Author Visit

On Thursday, the children in Lower School and Year 2 had a special visit from Clare Luther, author of ‘The Little Paws Hotel’ series. 

Her books are designed to help support young children to connect their own experiences to text. The books aim to help children to explore thoughts and feelings and are especially targeted towards 3 – 8 year olds.

At the beginning of her presentation, Clare told us all about her own Pet Hotel, which she runs for Dachshunds, and how her experiences helped to shape her inspiration for 'The Little Paws Hotel' series. Clare shared her book Olive with the children and discussed how Olive was feeling in the text. She also answered children's questions about what it is like to be an author and what inspired her to become an author. 

The children loved her energy and enthusiasm and hope that she will be back again soon!
