Key Stage 1 launch into exciting project

12th May 2017

Year 1 and 2 have launched into an exciting new project which is focused on the continent of Africa.

The project aims to develop the pupils’ skills, knowledge and understanding in Geography, Science and Design.

Pupils will learn how to read and produce maps and they will investigate human geography and how they each relate to the spaces and places in which they originate. They will also find out about African animals and will be designing and constructing their own African village.

Pupils have taken on the role of construction industry experts who have been commissioned by a charity to build a sustainable village for those in need.

The pupils cannot wait to see where the project takes them!
