Key Stage 2’s end of project showcase

This term, Key Stage 2 thoroughly enjoyed their project based around Quests. This broad and adventurous project has enabled pupils to dive in to different stories and different areas of learning including geography, maths, art and history – as well as strengthening their problem solving skills and adopting a Growth Mindset when faced with challenges.

The project culminated with a trip to the forest where pupils – along with the help from their parents - had to find the remaining two pieces of a puzzle in order to be awarded with keys to an Enchanted Library.

In teams, pupils and their parents followed a geocache trail deep into the forest. They had to navigate their way through using the Geocaching app and find three locations. At each location, teams had to find a box filled with treasures to keep and a puzzle to solve. After completing the trail, the teams came together and competed in three challenges. Everyone flew on a broom in a game of Quidditch, they raced around trying to capture the flag and had to be extremely agile when moving through a string web. Having successfully completed the challenges, everyone was awarded the Keys to the Enchanted Library

Pupils and parents stepped into a beautiful set of dens, topped with fluttering flags and colourful material. Over the course of the term, pupils created a beautiful book complete with a visual art story, all of their writing and details of the journey of the project. It was such a lovely way to end a fantastic term of learning.
