Key Stage 2’s PGL trip

12th June 2017 | Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Key Stage 2

Key Stage 2 had a brilliant time away at the end of the last half term at PGL. Read Miss Caitlin's account, below.

We set off on a huge, silver bus which we nicknamed the "Spaceship" and a few hours later arrived at the beautiful Windmill Hill.

We were greeted by our lovely and hilarious groupie, Matt, who took us to the lunch room where we wolfed down some food and were off on our first activities! We loved learning how to belay, climb and abseil down giant walls and after some dinner we spent the evening around the campfire singing songs and listening to stories.

Day 2 brought even more sunshine and luckily we were able to jump (fully clothed, shoes and all) into the lake after we finished canoeing. We learnt how to fence and loved speeding down the zip wire. The night commenced and we were ready to dance the night away listening to some of the greatest music of all time - "Let it Go" from Frozen was a real highlight.

Sadly, day 3 came around too quickly and after some problem solving and raft building, we bid farewell! We were sad to leave but happy to see our smiling parents who gave a huge welcome home.

What a brilliant trip!
