Letters from Brigitte Macron

In May, to hone their letter writing skills in French, children in Year 5 chose to write to French celebrities. In their letters, children wrote some information about themselves in French and asked their chosen celebrity various questions such as their favourite hobbies, what they like to eat and drink and where they like to spend their holidays. Two Year 5 pupils were delighted to receive a signed letter from French President Emmanuel Macron in response to work completed in their French lessons (read the full article here).

However, the excitement didn't end there.

At the end of June, two additional replies were received by two children in Year 5 from Brigitte Macron, wife of the President of the Republic of France. In her replies to the children, Brigitte, a retired teacher herself, congratulated both children for the excellent standard of their French and finished with special wishes for their future education.

To receive a personal letter from France's first lady, is something to be cherished!
