There is no doubt that 2012 was truly a magical year for Great Britain. Not only did it see London host the greatest Olympic Games in history, with Team GB bringing home a record 65 medals, but also Wandsworth Prep school opening its doors to welcome our first intake of Reception children.
Due to this remarkable achievement, we are excited to announce that our Reception children will be given the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the school and carry forward the London 2012 legacy as they choose the names of our School Houses who will be named after Team GB Olympic and Paralympic Athletes.
In January, the Reception children will look at the remarkable achievements of our shortlist of athletes including Wiggins, Farah, Ennis, Pendleton, Ainslie, Murray, Hoy, Weir, Simmonds and Peacock. Both children and their parents will have the opportunity to discuss these choices and will vote on their top 3 favourites to form the names of our, Blue, White and Red Wandsworth Prep Houses.
We look forward to announcing the winners in 2013.
