Lower School Showcase Learning with Confidence

On Thursday, the children in Lower School had their final showcase to share their learning from their project this term.

The project for this term was 'Around the World'. Throughout their project, the children in Lower School learned about a range of different countries including: France, Kenya, Norway, America, Australia and China. Each week, the children learned a little bit about each country, such as, the sorts of food they eat, where the country is in the world (on a world map), what continent the country belongs to and some of the interesting man-made and physical landmarks. The children in Lower School also loved making food from different countries as part of their project!

To showcase their learning, the children in Lower School began with a dragon dance, followed by some interesting facts about each country. Parents were then invited to sing Che Che Koolay with their children before joining in with some of the craft activities that children had made throughout the term. Finally, the children in Reception shared a dance that they made inspired by traditional Norwegian dance and the children in Year 1 shared 'Jibidi', a traditional folk dance from France.

We are really proud of the children's performances and their brilliant engagement and learning this year.

Well done, Lower School.
