A Message from Antarctica

Although Year 3 and 4's incredible Antarctica project reached its dramatic conclusion at the end of term, we were greeted by one final reminder when we returned after Christmas - a postcard franked from The Penguin Post Office, Port Lockroy, Antarctica! 

Many people may have seen the BBC documentary,  'The Penguin Post Office',  over the holidays and we were lucky enough to be visited by Laura Martin, one of the four employees starting work at the post office, in November.  She corresponded from Antarctica via email with Hattie in Year 3 (during Hattie's research project) and we are now proud to have our very own postcard all the way from Antarctica - magical!
