Music to marvel at

Pupils who have 1:1 music tuition at Wandsworth Prep School work very hard throughout the term, practising in their own time to improve their musical talents. What better way to showcase these talents and show their classmates and families what they have been preparing for than an end of Spring Term music concert!

The lucky audience were in for a treat, with performances from vocalists, piano, flute, ukulele, guitar and the Wandsworth Prep School choir. The standing ovation for all performers at the end of the concert was hugely deserved. Coping with nerves is all part of a musician's journey and the children really do benefit from performing in front of a live audience.

A big thank you to all the children who were brave enough to stand up in front of an audience and perform. Every term we see our performers grow in confidence as well as becoming better musicians with regular practice and dedication.

A huge thank you to all the parents who came to watch the concert and for supporting practice at home as well as all the peripatetic teachers who are always there to prepare their students for performances and encouraging them to become better musicians.

The choir also really enjoyed performing at their first music concert and have already been discussing when their next performance will be. And what’s more, we have been inundated with requests to join the choir!
