6th Nov 2017
On Wednesday 1st November, the school hosted its first music recital of the year with children from Years 1 to 6 taking part. This term saw children who learn a range of instruments performing, showcasing the skills they have gained in their instrumental lessons; guitar, piano, trumpet and violin. Alongside the usual roll of solo performers, were a guitar and violin ensemble and the guitar ensemble even played a seasonal spooky tune!
Wandsworth Prep hosts termly music recitals, which are an opportunity for our children to develop their skills as musicians. When children participate in recitals, there is a real sense of excitement. Children often choose a particular piece of music to perform to their audience and dedicate time to further practise. On the day, once they have performed, feelings of accomplishment pervade.
Well done to everyone who took part.
