Plastic Bottle Boat Captain to Dock at Wandsworth Prep

British environmentalist and adventurer David de Rothschild will be making a special visit to Wandsworth Prep School on Monday 10th June, to talk to the children about his eco-friendly adventures. As part of their exploration of the environment and the world around them, pupils in Reception have recently been investigating how they could use recycled materials to design and make their own boats, involving their mathematics, expressive arts and design skills. David’s visit follows his own voyage across the Pacific Ocean in 2010, in The Plastiki, a boat made from recycled plastics.
