Welcome to another great term of sport!
So far this term the pupils have enjoyed learning how to play cricket, including a day trip to Eveline Day School for a Cricket Afternoon for Years 1 and 2.
During the afternoon, pupils played a game called "4 Stumps" involving four batters who have to bat and then run to the next wicket (the wickets are set up in a square). One team bats and the other team fields, with the fielders having to get the ball back as quickly as they can to the bowler. The game ended with 49 runs to 49!!
The pupils had a great time. We will definitely be incorporating this new game into our PE lessons!
