Ready, Steady, Go!

The children have settled well into the new academic year, showing great enthusiasm and a desire to learn. So far this term, we have concentrated on our ABCs (agility, balance, co-ordination and speed) and incorporated basic fundamental movements into our PE lessons.

Reception have focused on travelling in different ways and showing a clear transition between those movements. Year 1 have recapped and reinforced their catching skills and have been learning how to aim accurately with a ball. Years 2 and 3 have learnt new invasion games such as capture the flag and cops and robbers. They also have been introduced to team games such as football and netball.

Next week we will be introducing the dance element of the PE syllabus.
