Reception Children Are Making Great Progress in Swimming

Each week the children of Wandsworth Prep take part in an Amateur Swim Association accredited swimming lesson at Virgin Active Wandsworth Southside. Led by ASA swimming instructor and VA Swimming director, Miss Katerina, swimming develops the children's knowledge, skills and understanding, so that they can perform a range of water based tasks with increasing competence and confidence. Being able to swim well is a life skill and promotes a healthy lifestyle. Swimming is definitely a highlight of the school week, as the children thoroughly enjoy developing their skills and increasing their confidence in the water. Miss Bridget and Miss Melissa have been very impressed with all of the Reception children who have made exceptional progress in both their swimming abilities and getting dressed independently. Miss Bridget recently celebrated our termly Champion Changers, Luella, Sophie, and Hattie in our weekly achievements assembly.
