School Chef Organises Hidden Protein Tasting Table

Our catering company, The Brookwood Partnership, support us in educating our pupils about food. This includes everything from developing an understanding of where food comes from and the different types of food eaten around the world, to encouraging pupils to try foods they have not tasted before and raising awareness of what is contained within the food we eat.

This week, Adel, our School Chef, set up a tasting table to provide an opportunity for pupils to sample a range of food items containing protein.

Posters were used to inform pupils that the body commonly takes protein from meat and fish however there are many other foods which can be eaten which contain hidden proteins.

The pupils enjoyed sampling a range of food items, including broccoli and eggs.
