It has been an enjoyable and successful term of PE here at Wandsworth Prep. All the children have worked hard and shown great sportsmanship throughout the term.
This week, to finish our strength and conditioning sessions, we completed a Ninja Warrior Circuit, working on all of the seven components that we have looked at this term (agility, balance & coordination, power, speed, strength and endurance). Each child pushed themselves to achieve their personal best and demonstrate their progress from the start of the term.
In Tag Rugby this week, our focus has been on matches. This gives each child the opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt in their lessons. They have covered the tick tock passing technique, how to correctly catch the ball with their ‘W’ shape and how many ‘points of contact’ they should have at all times when carrying the ball. For Upper School, it was their chance to familiarise themselves with some of the rules such as, a six-tag turnover and the offside rule.
Well done, everyone.
