Over the past 2 weeks in PE, we have pulled together all the skills we have previously learnt and put them into a competitive event. We played matches in football and set up a ninja warrior course in Strength and Conditioning which involved completing six stations focused on: endurance, balance and coordination, speed, strength, power and agility.
In our final PE lesson before the New Year, we did some Christmas themed games such as “Stealing Santa’s Hat” and “Destroying the Snowman”. For the game "Stealing Santa’s Hat", a group of four must create a circle by holding hands. One child is wearing the hat, whilst another child is a robber and is on the outside of the circle trying to steal the hat. The hat can only be protected by the circle rotating as a group to avoid the robber.
The snowman game is a creative game whereby groups get to create a snowman using only PE equipment and have to knock it down by throwing a tennis ball at it from a few distances.
Over the past two weeks, we have also been involved in two Upper School Fixtures in football against Earlsfield and Wimbledon Park. Fantastic effort from the whole of Upper School in both of these events.
We look forward to welcoming you back after the break for some more sporting fun. Have a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.
