Match Report:
On Friday 2nd February, Wandsworth Prep attended their first ever Independent Schools Association (ISA) event. Rosemead Preparatory School hosted the event and squad sizes were seven-a-side with the games lasting 10 minutes each. In total, 14 teams attended the tournament with seven teams in the A league and seven in the B league. WPS entered the B league.
This was our pupils' first ever Hockey fixture, which had a bit of an impact on their first game as they started it a little bit nervously. However, the children grew in confidence in each game and managed to give a very good account of themselves. Out of the six games played, WPS managed three wins, a draw and two losses, this meant that WPS finished second in the B league and received silver medals!
Fantastic team work and great determination was shown by every single player. Isaac did an amazing job in goal alongside some brilliant defending from Eva. Max did a marvellous job in midfield controlling the game. Ethan, Rafe and Alex provided the team with a superb amount of energy running down the wings with some wonderful passing to Jake, who scored some terrific goals.
