Wandsworth Prep School’s annual Sports Day took place during on the morning of 27th June, on Wandsworth Common.
Children competed for their Houses in a series of individual and team events. Events included relays and individual races where children were given the opportunity to apply a wide range of skills.
Parents also competed in events in order to gain points for their children’s Houses. Mums of children in Reception and Year 1 took part in a hula-hoop competition with some very impressive performances and Dads demonstrated an array of talent in the standing long jump event.
At the end of the morning’s activities, there was little difference in points between the individual Houses with just 5 points separating the winning House.
Throughout the morning, there was an overriding sense of team spirit from parents and children alike.
