Well done to all the children who competed with such grace and determination at our Sports Day this week.
We were so impressed with the high level of competitiveness, skill and sportsmanship.
Children competed in five athletics events: quoits, vortex, hurdles, sprints (50m, 100m and 200m for Years 3 & 4) and long jump.
Once we'd raced around the stations (the British summer weather made us speed up a bit!) we competed in a whole school relay race - this was interesting and something we'll continue to work on in the future! The Year 3 & 4s raced expertly around the same course with some close finishes.
To finish, we had some fun with the classic sack race, egg and spoon and three legged races.
Well done, Wandsworth Prep! You have been a pleasure to teach and your skills and sportsmanship have come so far in a year. Have a wonderful summer and keep active!
Miss Caitlin
