As part of the school’s sports programme, Wandsworth Prep is thrilled to confirm that children joining the school in September will take part in swimming classes every Thursday morning at Virgin Active – Wandsworth branch. Pupils will be taught in small groups (maximum of six per group) by an ASA Level 2 qualified teacher who will follow the National Plan for teaching swimming according to the British Swimming Organisation. Each child will receive a swimming badge according to their progress and will be included in the Virgin Active swimming galas.
Children will be taught a variety of sports including rugby, tennis and netball every Wednesday morning on Wandsworth Common (or in the School Hall if the weather is bad) by the sports coaches, Ruggerbeez. Children will also enjoy Gym lessons at The Little Gym every Friday. As part of the arrangement between the school and The Little Gym, pupils at the school can also enjoy their regular scheduled gym class during half-term holidays. Parents, carers and friends will also be invited to an end of year show which will be held towards the end of the Summer term.
