School Council get involved with UK Parliament Week

Wandsworth Prep's School Councillors have shown great initiative and determination in their first project, involving the school in UK Parliament Week.

The School Council held their first whole school assembly, set up a poster competition which they judged, held a survey and showed dedication to inspiring the school to learn more about how parliament is important in the UK. They took on the UK Parliament Week's motto of engaging, exploring and empowering pupils to understand the importance of our British Values and even got a certificate to prove their excellence in this from the House of Commons itself!

The School Council are now embarking on their next project which is to set up and encourage recycling throughout the school. They have written a letter to Wandsworth Council and hope to use their ideas to kick-start their new and inspiring project.
