Parents were led on an investigative journey by Upper School on Wednesday evening. The children showcased their learning from our Paris art heist project in a carousel of drama and problem solving.
In the detective quiz room, the parents were tasked with finding out who the prime suspects were using evidence from the crime scenes and mapping skills to help them. In the art gallery, they learned about the Colmar Treasure, Monet, Cézanne and Rodin. Parents even had a chance to pose as 'the Thinker' and test their sketching abilities. In the suspect room, they were interrogated, fingerprinted and searched. In the French café, pupils and parents enjoyed cake from the patisserie and a silent movie, created by the pupils about Thompson and Thompson.
At the end of the evening, Upper School revealed their undercover operation and the identity of the thieves in an exciting drama piece. We hope that they feel really proud of all they have achieved this term.
