Wandsworth Prep Recommended For ISA Membership

22nd November 2012

On Monday 19th November, Wandsworth Prep welcomed Victoria Smit, Principal of Hurst Lodge School and ISA London West Area Coorindator, to the school for our membership Inspection and got its application for membership with the Independent Schools Association (ISA) underway. We are thrilled to report that Ms Smit was very impressed with our school and the progress we have made since our opening in September and will be recommending us for membership with the ISA. Founded in 1879, the ISA is one of the oldest of the independent schools' organisations in the UK. Successful membership with the ISA will see the school inspected by the Independent School Inspectorate and will not only only entitle the school to attend high quality courses, conferences and area meetings with leading Independent School Head’s and Educational specialists across the country, but will also provide the children of Wandsworth Prep with a wide range of Art, Music, Drama and Essay writing competitions, prestigious award opportunities for both individual pupils and the wider school, and a huge variety of sporting opportunities both at Area and National level. Headteacher, Miss Melissa McBride, comments that “at the forefront of all the decisions we make at Wandsworth Prep, what is most important is what the impact on our children will be. Membership with the ISA, provides pupils the opportunity through awards, competitions and sporting tournaments to widen their horizons and provide greater challenges at both the regional and national levels when compared to their everyday experiences.”
