This week saw the second edition of Wandsworth Prep School's Secondary Schools Fair.
Fourteen secondary schools attended to give our parents some insight into what their schools have to offer and the options available to them when the time comes for their children to fly the Wandsworth Prep School nest and move on to pastures new.
In order to offer the parents from Year 3, 4 and 5 a broad balance of schools, a mix of day and boarding schools were invited, as well as single-sex and co-ed institutions. Schools such as Wimbledon High, Emanuel and Whitgift all had stalls in the school hall.
Many of the schools invited have either received a Wandsworth Prep Year 6 leaver or will do so at the end of this academic year. As a school, we continue to build close relationships with secondary schools and continue to open up more channels for our pupils. This puts Wandsworth Prep School very much on the map and our children in the driving seat when it comes to school choices.
Seeing smiling children leaving with goody bags, and happy parents leaving with many an informative brochure, very much reinforced the success and importance of the event; one which will continue to be an important date in the school's diary.
The 11+ preparation at Wandsworth Prep guides our pupils to achieve their full potential and progress to a secondary school that continues to develop and enrich each individual. To read more about the 11+ preparation at Wandsworth Prep, visit our 11+ preparation page on our website.
