On Friday 21st March, the children at Wandsworth Prep took part in our first annual School House Quiz.
Murray, Ainslie, Ennis and Wiggins House had the chance to compete against each other as the children worked together to collaborate and share their answers.
The children were asked a range of questions, from our Viking Topic this term, including “Where did the Vikings come from?”, ‘How Long was a Viking Longboat?”, and “Where did the Vikings Invade?”. Houses also tackled other general knowledge questions, such as “Name the colours of the British Flag?”, “What is the name of the Common we visit for Forest Schools?”, “Which character has terrible teeth and terrible claws?”, and “Name one of the singers in One Direction?”. Points and prizes were awarded for correct answers, spellings, teamwork and listening skills.
After a very close round of questioning, the scores were added up and the Houses waiting in anticipation to find out who had one. At the end of the quiz, Wiggins House was announced as the winner of the House Cup with a fantastic 18 points!
Ennis and Murray House followed closely behind with 17 and 16 points respectively. Ainslie House impressed the judges with their commitment to teamwork and collaboration and were awarded with special prizes on the day.
A huge well done to Wiggins House for their win, but also special mention to all the Wandsworth Prep children who impressed the staff with their teamwork, sportsmanship, focus and knowledge.
