The local postman delivered a dose of excitement to the pupils at Wandsworth Preparatory School last week, as he brought them a letter from Her Majesty the Queen.
Queen Elizabeth II recently became the longest-reigning Monarch in British history, and to mark the occasion Wandsworth pupils sent her homemade cards and messages of congratulation.
The children were over the moon to receive a reply from one of Her Majesty’s Ladies-in-Waiting, thanking them for on behalf of the Queen and praising them for ‘the care [they] have taken with [their] cards’.
