Year 1 and 2’s Enquiry-Led Project

This term, Year 1 and 2 are very excited to be working together on their enquiry-led summer term project.

As part of the project, Year 1 and 2 recently discussed, Is art Important? The pupils had to decide "yes" or "no" and give reasons for their choice. They practised giving reasons to back up their answers by saying “I think...because...” They were encouraged to think about what the speaker was saying and build on responses. It was a rich discussion and the pupils really enjoyed sharing their thinking and raising their own questions.

In addition, Year 2 were introduced to how to read an artwork when they responded to William Turner's Snow Storm.
