Year 2 and 3 put on their last inspiring ‘We are Explorers’ showcase to end another fabulous year.
The showcases, which happen each term, give the children the opportunity to show the expertise they have developed over the course of each project. The children shared to their parents the wealth of knowledge they had learnt about each country as well as their newfound talents of counting to ten in Swahili and Japanese!
They took on the role of travel agents and took their parents on a tour of their fantastic learning; ranging from traditional Japanese art based on Hokusai to their own Masaai tribe necklaces. The children then taught their parents how to create their own pieces of art such as aboriginal art, clay sculptures of African animals and traditional Japanese fans.
We are so lucky at Wandsworth Prep to have such supportive parents that get wholeheartedly involved in and share the celebration of the learning the children have done over the course of the term.
Well done Middle school!
