The scene was set: a beautiful forest, fairy lights, paintings, white material, bunting to match and tea light candles surrounded the stage.
The company who had put this together, ‘Shakespeare's Discovery Theatre 4 Kids ‘(also known as Years 3 & 4) were hiding in the bushes...meanwhile a crowd of 70 parents, friends, grandparents and neighbours were making their way down a steep path laden with picnic baskets, blankets and chairs.
One hour of music, dance and the most beautiful acting followed, as the cast put on ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream.’
Words cannot fully describe the magic that this cast sprinkled over the enchanted crowd and this video is only a small snippet of what was truly a magnificent show:
We are so proud of our children for giving justice to and pulling off one of Shakespeare's hits - well done Year 3 & 4!
