Reception’s Topic Presentation

This half term our Reception children were tasked with solving the overpopulation crisis in Jakarta. Our Island Investigators explored a nearby island to find out if it was habitable, before researching a number of skills the new residents would need to survive.

These skills included cleaning dirty water so that it is safe to drink, using natural detergents to wash laundry in the river (without polluting the water), and how plants grow.
