In Project this term we have been focusing on the theme of "Heroes" and thinking about superheroes as well as real life heroes. It's been a pleasure to see the children understand and reflect on the challenging time we find themselves in as well as look back on times in history when individuals have done something that has influenced the world and people around them for the better.
We have been writing letters to our heroes of which the children have chosen a number of different people as their heroes such as J.K Rowling, Walt Disney, Greta Thunberg, Marie Curie, Florence Nightingale and Sir David Attenborough to name a few! One of the popular choices following his daily online P.E lessons was Joe Wicks. Watch some of the children reading their letters to him below:
Another part of the Heroes project in Upper School was to think of a social media campaign to celebrate our key worker heroes. They had to create a poster or video to present their idea that raises awareness, thanks or brings happiness to people at this time. There were lots of fantastic ideas which the children, teachers and even our Bellevue Marketing lead voted on to decide on the two campaigns that will be shared on the Wandsworth Prep social media channels for the world to see!
Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages to see the campaigns come to life over the next week!
