I asked some children in Year 3, all new to Wandsworth Prep in September, what they enjoyed most at school and, most notably, the key differences between here and their last school. No child, however, was able to give me one specific answer. At the top of every child's list, however, was Forest School and Mantle projects.I told the children that another teacher would be coming in to the school to work with Years 2 and 3 on their current Space movie project. Hoping not to generalise, few children would be excited by the support of an extra teacher and, I imagine, even fewer might go so far as relishing the opportunity so much so that they pin the adjective ' cool ' to the forthcoming experience. It seems that Luke Abbot, an experienced teacher trainer and educational advisor, who will be working with us all here at Wandsworth Prep during the week of the 19th January, has a challenging task ahead of him. Year 2 and 3 wonder if he might be able to help them use their I-pads to make a trailer for their movie and more importantly, make a timeline of key events which led to Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong landing on the moon in 1969.Bridget SaulActing Headteacher
