Sports Update

What a fantastic couple of weeks we’ve had in the sports department!

The fortnight began with a great school event which the children have been working towards… the SKIP’A’THON! The children were split into 6 teams and rotated around 6 stations - obstacle courses, skipping, elastics, sack races and more! We then got together for a huge SKIP OFF! As a surprise to the children (and the parents) we concluded the day with a parent and teacher skipping competition! Congrats Sue for taking the winning spot!

Fifteen children from years 2 - 4 have been training for a cross country fixture against Eveline Day School. We have been training Tuesday and Wednesday lunchtimes around the common in preparation for the event and it paid off! We raced around Tooting Bec Common with every child completing the 1 kilometre course. Well done to Ben, Amaya, Evie and Charlie C from year 2 who raced against children 1 and 2 years above them! A special congratulations to Jake (1st, 4 mins 34 secs), Charlie B (3rd, 4 mins 56 secs) and Willow (2nd, 5 mins 20secs) who came in the top three in their respective races! Well done to everyone who competed!!
