The year has started off with a bang in the Sports Department! All children have had their first PE lessons and had lots of fun!
Reception to Year 2 are working on throwing and catching skills this term while Years 3 and 4 are working on striking in the form of football to get ready for some upcoming fixtures.
Years 1 - 4 enjoyed stretching their legs and having a good run around in the common.
All children are training for the cross country by starting each lesson with an endurance run! The cross country will be a first for Wandsworth Prep with Years 1 - 4 competing (Reception will participate in school-wide events in the spring and summer terms). Running has been tough for some but it's great to see hard work and persistence shining through.
We are practicing teamwork skills with our peers and have lots of opportunities to practice and reflect on this.
Look out for PE newsletters for updates, photos and results!
There is a Netball Acadamy starting with limited spaces held at Wimbledon (Yr 3-5, 9 - 10.30am on Saturdays) and Clapham Park (Yr 2 - 3, 9 - 10am Sundays)! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information!
