Wow, what a fantastic term of skill and game-based learning! We have all loved learning the rules and skills of tag rugby and putting these into practice at the WPS Rugby World Cup!
Children represented six countries: Wales, England, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Scotland. They loved marching around the different stations with their team leaders and flags and had fun playing two games each against different countries. They played hard and fairly, each in teams involving Reception to Year 4 children. It was lovely to see the older children supporting the younger ones by encouraging them and being great role models.
A special shout out must go to Reception for doing incredibly well at their very first school-wide sporting event. They were brilliant!
Well done on a fantastic hallf term of sport, Wandsworth Prep, and be sure to keep your fitness up over the festive period!
I'm looking forward to many more community events and some exciting sports to come!
Bye for now.
