This Week:Mantle: Our Island Detectives have finally stepped foot on the newly discovered island. We have been working on a brilliant piece of poetry describing our initial thoughts and feelings about the island. We have also worked on ways of improving our writing by using more descriptive language.Numeracy: This week we have looked at number bonds to 20 as well as the relationship between minutes, hours and days.Next Week:Mantle: Our story will move on to setting up a laboratory concentrating specifically on the different scientific areas such as plant life, animals, rocks and minerals.Numeracy: We will be focusing on money including the relationship between the different coins, as well as ways in which we can record data.At Home:Spellings: 5 high frequency words and 5 related to our phonic sound of the week, silent b.Daily reading: Bug Club should also still be accessible to the children. Please let Miss Kelly know if your child can’t access their profile or if new titles need to be added for them.
