What a wonderful royal WPS celebration we had for our Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It was a truly joyful day full of sunshine, celebrations and special guests…
Firstly each child created their own image of the Queen on a cupcake at a cake decorating workshop hosted by professional baker Farley Berry. The whole school enjoyed a grand jubilee lunch on the world’s longest table down the centre of the playground, put on by Mr Abdel and Miss Aynalem and they certainly delivered a feast fit for a Queen! We also had a special appearance from a very important guest…Laura Nike, our new headteacher, who joined in with our celebrations and commented on how much she enjoyed the event and is looking forward to many more to come at WPS.
Well done to all our star bakers who entered this year’s Jubilee Themed Bake Off. It was an amazing success and Farley Berry commented on the high standard of baking produced by our families. Congratulations to all the star bakers and remember to keep on baking!
A huge well done to the school council and everyone involved in organising and preparing such a wonderful event for our school. Memories were made and I’m sure it was a day the children won’t forget!
