We have two formal entry points to our school, Pre Prep Nursery or Reception. Learning begins in these classes and here we create a nurturing environment where the children are encouraged to explore, discover and grow. Our experienced Early Years teachers lay the foundations for a lifelong love of learning. Meet the teachers below.
Miss Zola Sokoli – Pre Prep Nursery Teacher
Hello, I’m Miss Sokoli and I have been working at Wandsworth Prep since 2018. From the very start, I have been passionate about making a meaningful difference in children’s lives and supporting their development both academically and emotionally.
Over the years, I has grown within the school community, taking on the role of Forest School Leader and since 2024 I have been the Pre Prep Nursery teacher. Each stage of my journey has strengthened my commitment to holistic education and nurturing the whole child.
Leading forest school sessions allows me to encourage curiosity, resilience, independence and have a strong connection with nature. In the classroom I strive to create a warm, engaging and supportive environment where children feel safe to explore, take risks in their learning and build confidence. Working in early years and Pre Prep brings something new and inspiring every day. It is a role filled with laughter, discovery and growth – not only for the children, but for me as a educator as well. Supporting children through their early milestones and watching them flourish independently and see their self belief grow is what truly motivates me and makes teaching such a rewarding profession.
Miss Carla Ritchie – Reception Teacher
Hello I am Miss Ritchie and I have been working at Wandsworth Prep since 2017 and I have been the Reception teacher since 2023. I am experienced Early Years and Reception specialist and have taught both in my native New Zealand and here in London.
My favourite part of teaching is that no day is the same. I love to see the joy in the children’s faces when they learn something new or solve a tricky challenge and the ideas that they come up with and how they drive their learning. The warmth that radiates from the children is infectious and I look forward to sharing special reading moments together during the week.
